The Process TO DESIGNING YOUR STATEMENT WEDDING CAKE
from booking to delivery
There is so much choice nowadays when it comes to designing your wedding cake that it may seem like a daunting task. Long gone are the days of the traditional white wedding cake as more and more couples are pushing the boundaries and opting for something a little bit different.
Whether you’re looking for something that is colourful or neutral, bold or modest, detailed or minimalistic, I will work with you every step of the way to ensure your wedding cake is individually designed to suit your particular style, ultimately creating a centrepiece that is both stunning and delicious.
Step 1
Secure Your Booking
As soon as you have booked your venue, it is best to get in touch to check my availability.
It is only myself who designs, bakes and decorates all of the cakes at CakeBuds, therefore I am only able to take on one wedding cake order per week to maintain my high standards. As a result, certain dates do get booked up well in advance.
If you love my style, then you can secure your wedding date with CakeBuds by paying a £200 non-refundable booking fee. The design of your wedding cake can be finalised at a later date.
Step 2
Design & Tasting
After securing your wedding date I will send you a complimentary Signature Tasting Box for you to enjoy in the comfort of your own home. This will include my five most popular flavours.
If you wished to upgrade to a Bespoke Tasting Box this can be arranged at an additional cost.
We will then arrange a Design Consultation to be held via Zoom where we will meet virtually to discuss the design of your wedding cake. So please feel free to send me your mood board or any inspirational pictures in advance.
Following your consultation, I will send you a selection of cake sketches with accurate quotes. We can then finalise your wedding cake design and flavour choices via email.
Step 3
Leave The Rest To Me!
Two months before your wedding day, I will be in touch to confirm your chosen wedding cake design and flavours.
This is when your remaining balance is also due.
I will liaise directly with your wedding venue to arrange delivery and set up of your wedding cake, so all you need to do is sit back, relax and enjoy your wedding day.
Want to taste my cakes before securing your booking with me?
Then you can purchase a Signature Tasting Box for a small fee. Should you then go ahead and book your wedding cake with me following receipt of a Signature Tasting Box, the cost of the box will be deducted from your final balance.
Should you wish to taste five flavours of YOUR choice you can purchase a Bespoke Tasting Box, however the cost of these is not redeemable against your final balance.
Please note that no booking is secure until a £200 non-refundable booking fee has been paid.
